Estamos a utilizar esta bomba de óleo no nosso Ibiza de drag racing, e passámos muitas corridas a otimizar o seu desempenho.
Aumentámos a pressão de óleo para cerca de 8 bar em vez dos 4 bar originais.
Este ajuste proporciona maior fluxo de óleo e ajuda sob cargas elevadas.
Além disso, normalmente usamos óleo 10W-60 em vez da especificação original para uso em competição.

Increasing oil pressure is a crucial improvement for EA888 engines, as installing stiffer valve springs leads to the destruction of the oil film at the camshaft support points, resulting in cylinder head damage.

Additionally, the increased oil pressure cools all crankshaft bearings more effectively. The higher oil volume delivered under pressure helps lower temperatures in critical areas such as the piston pin, cylinders, and the underside of the piston.

Furthermore, eliminating the oil pressure relief valve controlled by the engine management system allows for higher oil pressure even at low loads, ensuring better lubrication and overall engine longevity.
