Utilizziamo questa pompa olio sulla nostra Ibiza da drag racing e abbiamo impiegato molte gare per ottimizzarne le prestazioni.
Abbiamo aumentato la pressione dell’olio a circa 8 bar rispetto ai 4 bar originali.
Questa regolazione garantisce un maggiore flusso d’olio e aiuta sotto carichi elevati.
Inoltre, per uso racing utilizziamo solitamente olio 10W-60 invece della specifica originale.

Increasing oil pressure is a crucial improvement for EA888 engines, as installing stiffer valve springs leads to the destruction of the oil film at the camshaft support points, resulting in cylinder head damage.

Additionally, the increased oil pressure cools all crankshaft bearings more effectively. The higher oil volume delivered under pressure helps lower temperatures in critical areas such as the piston pin, cylinders, and the underside of the piston.

Furthermore, eliminating the oil pressure relief valve controlled by the engine management system allows for higher oil pressure even at low loads, ensuring better lubrication and overall engine longevity.
