من المشاكل الشائعة في محركات TSI تراكم الكربون على صمامات السحب. وبسبب نظام الحقن المباشر، حيث يُرش الوقود مباشرة في غرفة الاحتراق، لا تُنظَّف صمامات السحب بالوقود، وبالتالي تتراكم ترسّبات الكربون الناتجة عن أبخرة الزيت من نظام PCV الأصلي على الصمامات.

The RTMG Oil Catch Can kit can reduce the carbon build up on the intake valves up to 60%. The catch can also prevents oil pooling into the intercooler and intercooler hoses.
