RTMG Performance innovates once again and solves the problem for the air intake in the new 1.2 and 1.4 TSI EA211 Engines.
This engine has a turborcharger at the back of the engine and has the airbox positioned directly on top of the motor. By removing the piping of the airbox and the airbox it is impossible to install an air intake system because the lip of the turbocharger is small and thus it is not safe to secure a silicone hose.
This adapter solves this problem as it is fastened onto the turbo, just like the factory plastic tube but also provides a greater surface to install a silicone hose. The adapter seals on the turbocharger with an o-ring.
